I think the hugs are helping...him and me.

Yes, Mary Beth, the vet did come to the house, but Mark kept Henri out in the yard because he is still so active and wouldn't have left anyone alone. I did put Timber's collar on the chair though and put his pillow back next to Henri's and that seemed to help. He is much better today.aprilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15793431217614265769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7778344945785846986.post-70477068238737171762010-07-12T11:15:00.792-05:002010-07-12T11:15:00.792-05:00April, did your vet come to your house to put down...April, did your vet come to your house to put down Timber? If so, that might have helped Henri. I have read that the most confusing thing is when you take the dying dog away and the healthy dog at home never sees him again and wonders what became of him. I've read that dogs, like many animals, can smell and understand death, so if Henri got to see Timber's body that might have helped him. Sorry if this is too graphic but dogs do learn about the world through their noses primarily. I was looking for my copy of "The soul of animals" and fear it is another book lent never returned. All animals have stages of mourning and some extra hugs help, but somehow they get through it and accept it better than us. The diet also is not a concern, the heat also affects that... it'll return. Give Henri a hug from me!Dorishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05458789806199788947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7778344945785846986.post-37844639204347028282010-07-12T06:21:25.552-05:002010-07-12T06:21:25.552-05:00Hello!
