It was my time to wake up and I felt the bed shake. It felt something like when the washing machine goes off balance. With no apparent explanation imaginable, I thought okay, who's "visiting" me? Got up to learn there was an earthquake in Sycamore, Illinois at about 4 a.m. That is what I felt!
"Early this morning Illinois was rocked with with a Magnitude 4.3 Earthquake at aprox 3:59 am on February 10th 2010."

I must have slept right through it; although I do recall waking up around that time and checking the clock. I thought you were going to say one of the dogs jumped on the bed! lol

the cats are useless in that department..they sleep like rocks
I am much nearer and didn't feel nor hear it. My Aggie often gets me up at 4:00am anyway. My coworker in Sugar Grove was very alarmed, he didn't know the fault line was there. I knew of it, there were some construction problems and new subdivisions abandoned because of it, 25 years ago.
