January's Red


Here is my piece that I am doing for So Scrappy , using up scraps of fabric that I have along with the main color for January, red.  I have pinned on the batting and the backing and started machine-quilting.  I have the urge to add bangles and beads and call it an art quilt!

    Definitely add bangles and beads. The more the merrier. The red background is very pretty with the scrappy piecing.

    Yes, it sure was fun! And yes, as first I thought the red background would be startling...but it turned out to be striking! A surprise!

    New one; new year. Going to make a separate one for each month this time.
