Journaling Meeting for the month of April

We had a nice little group, even though we missed some who were out of town.

Lots of sharing of ideas...

And then we went on to creating our own "washi tape"...

using Scotch Removable Tape, acrylics and a palette knife.

And here's how it looks when decorating our journal pages.

And some of the girls' sample pages for the month

Wednesday's class

After making papers last week, we begin...

I am always anxious to see everyone's plan...

Journaling along in April...

Colors and words of April

Spring!

Just love the beauty and gentleness of the spring flowers...

they're telling me...

just a little more...

wind and chill and rain...

and the sun will shine.

Getting ready for collage and journaling

Next week begins a new Collage session at The Center and so I'm getting ready to show my class how to make these pretty papers to use in their pieces.

Layers of acrylic paints and gesso; scraping and rubbing.

Hoping for some Spring colors to blend.

Thinking grasses and new growth...

And then, of course...

working on my April pages for my "No Excuses Art Journal" group...

going back and forth, some are done

and some are in the works!

my claim to fame...

the end of March and the beginning of April

Journaling pages and they posted a little backwards but I won't change it now.

This is one of my writing pages with the acrylic ink background that we did in class.  It's for the month of April.

Another page for the month of April.  I will be adding some wings, but this is my start.

Back to March; here are my tiny watercolors called "Peeps".

And a final page of journaling for the month of March.  That dreaded day...

And the beginning of April journaling with an added zentangle and I seem to be finding a lot of quotes and such for April.
