Last week's collage class

Some were finished with their collage pieces, so I brought a box of scraps and we made tiny collages for cards.  Here's Maria picking out some treasures.

Lora Lee, working on her waterfall collage (as seen below).

Denise working on her Valentine piece to have printed for cards.

Judy working on little collages for cards and below is her lovely winter piece.

The cards are fun and were "a hit".  Here's Teri getting started.

Marge  and Eva working away...

and Peggy finishing up.

Yesterday's Art Journaling

We had a wonderful Art Journaling Class yesterday...eleven enthusiastic journalers!  For fear of "facing the blank page", I showed them a fun background to create...

for collage

or for lettering.

A busy time and i neglected to take photos there...next time!

on with January...

A poem from "Winter Eyes".  Wanted to letter it in my book with a wintery background, so tried a torn-paper stencil with acrylic paint on sponges and brushes.  Have to practice that again...

And couldn't wait to get back in the house yesterday morning and get these beauties down on paper.  Took Henri out early and these two guys were roaming around beyond our fence.  I journaled a little about it and the full moon as you can see below on the 24th.

tiny watercolors.

journaling about classes, the coyotes and Handwriting Day!

and a little of this and that...

Journaling for January

A positive quote and a favorite cookie recipe to start off the new year.

Another favorite quote from Simple Abundance and a visit from a best friend.
And then my envelope, ready for saving things.

 Documenting days and poetry class.

More days' things to remember.

Poetry homework.

A start-of-the-year collage

Daily doings.

An unexpected road trip!

One tiny watercolor done so far; credit card size on inserted watercolor paper - need to do one once a week!

A page that I enjoy...the colors of the month and some little writings.

and more daily journaling...

November Art Journaling

The theme from "No Excuses Art Journaling" for November is "Dreams".

"So they found a cozy place under the trees where they slept well until the morning; and Dorothy dreamed of The Emerald City, and of the good wizard OZ."

A fun way to add in some text or poetry.

And here, I got to write on some handmade paper that we made in class.

Ho-Hum...

And a little bit about my days...

And November is half gone...
