Summer doings

Having so much fun with Sketchbook Skool, journaling about summer happenings around here.

 

Mark, enjoying his new life of retirement...waiting for approval of some part time employment to show up.

 

Last week, some of my class and i made some Nevr-Dull paper on an "open studio" day.  Fun!

 

And a nice order of my little landscape cards  were on their way to Maryland!

The amazing sky...

What a show it put on last night.  Early evening and it was still drizzling, but suddenly the sun shone bright in the west.  It was dark in the east and i knew there must be a rainbow...and there it was...

a double one.

Bright and beautiful!

As it got darker, the sky in the west gave it's final glorious glow...

Amazing!

The clouds were so thick and texture-y, like they were looking at me.

Mark's Retired!

Can't believe it; having a son who is retired!  

 So...Henri is very happy!

Well, he worked at the hospital for 32 years; started when he was in high school...

This is the cake that Angel made for his celebration...isn't it wonderful!

Had a little "open studio" at The Center on Wednesday morning to get ready for September's class.  

 

Fun with distressing paper with Nevr-Dull.

 

It was a nice day too, so it was nice to do this outside at the picnic table.

Last week of this session of Sketchbook Skool.  Enjoyed all six of the teachers in the six weeks.  This week it was Tommy Kane and it was such fun paying attention to all the little details in things.  Look and appreciate the simple things...

The girls were over on Tuesday for the day and so we painted...

 

 Dragonflies seem to be a favorite with everyone these days, so I suggested that.

Danielle did a little paint-blowing on bookmarks.
