A fun project

Last week, I did a little "make-up" class for all who had missed a class here and there, etc.  We made great little envelope cases and tags to go inside.  These little envelopes are made with empty toilet paper rolls!  Something else that we don't have to throw away!  Flattened and covered with decorated paper, they are very sturdy and the decorated tag stays put safely inside.  This is the front of one I made, using the leftover papers from the envelope, for the tag, so they match nicely.

The seam of the paper is positioned in the back and hardly shows.  Distressed edges gives it an aged look.

Another tag, but didn't make an envelope yet, as I wanted to save all my tp rolls that I had for the class in case they didn't have any empty ones to collect.

And here is my class all busy just creating and having fun!

I think they make a lovely attachment for a gift...

or even a small gift themselves!

Anniversaries!

Here, Pat left room on the tag to write a message.  A great idea!

Last evening's little things...

I love to have the time to just look at the simple things.  The apple tree at Julie's ...

with new little baby apples growing.  Apple Crisp coming soon!

Journaling along...

Here are two of the journal page spreads that I made for two of my friends' MYM journals.  I must really get busy with that, now that classes are over for the summer!

Cake!

Here's Mark's birthday cake!  Angel loves to bake and decorate cakes for special occasions, and she does a beautiful job, doesn't she?  Well...beautiiful?  Handsome?  Cute?  Well, it's "Stewie" from Family Guy, they tell me.  Anyway, it's a wonderful job of cake decorating!

What's going on?

I don't know why, but sometimes blogger is not letting me comment on some of my favorite blog friends' posts!  Just so you know, I'm tryin'!

Peonies!

Oh the beautiful peonies!  But after a good rain, the big blooms are left lying on the ground, bent over, and they can't seem to recover.

My friend, Marge, has a "flower support" and that's what I need to get for next year!  I was gone for the weekend when the rain came and when I got home, I had to scramble to save them...

and I filled three big vases with their blooms.  As I cut them, the petals were falling and flying.
