The day was here and everything was ready! (well, almost) Papers and more papers...
Buttons...
and Bows...
Rubber stamps, postage stamp, stickers...
and lots of doo-dads!
I just can't resist buying valentine stuff!
Pretty doilies and fabric of reds...
Punches and pasting...
It was a busy day and it went by in a whirl!
I almost forgot to take pictures and so here are the bowls partially gone. We had Chili Con Carne and fixins of avocado, green onion, sour cream, tomatoes, cilantro, fresh limes, cheddar, black olives and tortillas. Dan did all the chopping and Julie made Susan Branch's yummy Corn Pudding and manned the kitchen.
We had Cheese/Chilies Squares and I had to try some new recipes and so we had Frozen Valentine Salad, Mexican Slaw and Fiesta Rice. French Chocolate Balls and Heavenly Cookies for dessert. Oh... and World's Finest Chocolates, of course.
The Chili.
Everyone went home with some Valentine treasures that they made, plus all the valentines in their bags from the valentine exchange. Here is Lois' pretty piece.
Henri was certainly on his good behavior yesterday. Everyone said "what a good boy! " Oh Henri!
This morning, it was snowing again and Henri was back to his favorite ball game, "Bury it and Dig for it".
He is very serious about this game.
Okay, time for a nap for you and the ball, Henri!

Wow, you must be exhausted today. Thank God for Daughters to help out.
Oh April, your Valentine parties always look like such fun! Wish I lived next door to you so I could pop in! You always take wonderful photos of Henri but that last one with the face full of snow and the mouth full of ball is the best! I vote for enlarging and framing that one!
April...I really did miss not being there...but was I missed?..that is the question :)
How many did you have this year?
Next year...God willing...I'll be there....see you next at Bookies..what book are we reading anyway!!!??
Oh...and Henri is meant for you
Yes! You were missed! Actually there were 23, but I had 27 bags, enough for those who are usually there or participate. I knew you didn't mean to be away...
Lovely! I agree with Mary Beth, that last face full of snow needs to be framed... there's also a lot of pet photo contests going on!
