The background sure matches the quote. It definitely is cheerful. I had to look up the word"uncial" as I've never heard of it before. Even at my age, one can learn something new.
Janis - Thank you! I did that paper last summer at a workshop in Minnesota. "Wet & Wild" with Jacqueline Sullivan. It was watercolor washes with salt added.
Oh Sue - I don't do crossword puzzles!
Mary Beth - Uncial is my favorite.
Thanks Audrey - I had never heard of it before calligraphy classes either. In fact, at first I was always pronouncing it wrong until Marge enlightened me.
It's such a beautiful font, April! I love the Celtic feel and the crisp black ink embracing the rainbow~y background... Please post more of your caligrphic images! Tatiana
My love of nature and love of paper have influenced my love of drawing, painting and making things for as long as I can remember. For me, there is excitement in the visual pleasure I get from copying the beauty of nature. The colors. The gentleness. With my artwork, I seek to inspire and enlighten the viewer.

I love your calligraphy April... and how did you do the watercolor in the background?
Janis
Couldn't you have done it standing up knitting socks while doing a crossword puzzle?..while balancing laundry on your head?
April, Your Uncial is really nice!
Well done!
