It's done! Our woodcarvers, at The Center, completed this beautiful masterpiece and it's ready to hang in Log Cabin #3. Our art teacher, Lois Hrejsa, designed it and with the guidance of our woodcarving instructor, Keith Miller, the carvers have depicted all the buildings of The Center located on the west side of Southwest Highway. Here you see The Wayside Chapel, the Chapel Garden and the Herb Cottage.

Wow it looks great April
Hi April,
That woodcarving is beautiful. You have to see it to really appreciate it. I like how you took the photos in sections, it is a long carving. I know there was a lot of work and love in it. It will grace log cabin #3 as a wonderful welcome to all who come to the Center. Also, a wonderful tribute to Keith's teaching abilities!
That is charming! It would be so fulfilling to be involved in a project like that!
Oh my gosh April, this is beautiful and lost art for sure, that is making its comeback there at the lodge. Will this be present to the Center and are there going to be publicity about it?? there should be it's great! what along process and great group effort!!
This was done for The Center by the woodcarvers. It has a permanent place in the new Log Cabin #3, as does the other carving of The Children's Farm has it's permanent place in The Anderson Building.
