And is this my little friend from last summer? Wishing it was Spring are you, and I was putting out my hanging planter for you to nest? I've been filling this feeder and scattering some on the ground for the juncos. They are sharing with the doves.
All our doves disappeared this Fall; we usually have 8-12 of them hanging around. They perch on the neighbor's shed and wait their turn at the feeders. I wondered where they all went! We did have a hawk in the area for awhile, so maybe he scared them away. But they HAVE returned to the feeders, now that there's snow--YES!
I lost a lot of doves when the coyote took my chihuahua. He stayed till my yard was devoid of mourning doves and rabbits. But they've since returned. Loved seeing the juncos footprints in light snow last night!
My love of nature and love of paper have influenced my love of drawing, painting and making things for as long as I can remember. For me, there is excitement in the visual pleasure I get from copying the beauty of nature. The colors. The gentleness. With my artwork, I seek to inspire and enlighten the viewer.
