A fun project

Last week, I did a little "make-up" class for all who had missed a class here and there, etc.  We made great little envelope cases and tags to go inside.  These little envelopes are made with empty toilet paper rolls!  Something else that we don't have to throw away!  Flattened and covered with decorated paper, they are very sturdy and the decorated tag stays put safely inside.  This is the front of one I made, using the leftover papers from the envelope, for the tag, so they match nicely.

The seam of the paper is positioned in the back and hardly shows.  Distressed edges gives it an aged look.

Another tag, but didn't make an envelope yet, as I wanted to save all my tp rolls that I had for the class in case they didn't have any empty ones to collect.

And here is my class all busy just creating and having fun!

I think they make a lovely attachment for a gift...

or even a small gift themselves!

Birthdays!

Anniversaries!

Here, Pat left room on the tag to write a message.  A great idea!

Bon voyage!

So pretty, what a great idea! Do you tape up the bottom of the flattened TP roll? Or is the tag a tight enough fit that there are no worries about it falling out the bottom?

It is tight enough; can't fall out!

Burnish the edges of the roll with a bone folder and I used Sobo glue to glue the paper to it. Then the glue or matte medium for the tag. Press under heavy books when dry.
