it's Monday again!
Yesterday, we had tickets to see "Gypsy". An afternoon matinee, so we were on the road about 12:30. The production was fabulous. Klea Blackhurst, who played "Rose" (Mama) has the most wonderful speaking and singing voice. So strong, she sounds just like Ethel Merman. Andrea Prestinario was beautiful as "Louise" (Gypsy Rose Lee) and Andrea Collier as "June". Everyone in the entire production was wonderful! I guess I have never seen "Gypsy" before and they made me so interested in the story. Mama Rose was so driven, she makes me sad. And I don't think I ever knew that June was June Havoc. It's all so interesting, I want to read about them.
Back home and not much time to sketch today, so I quickly did this contour line drawing of hubby's little turntable of his daily crossword puzzle, newspaper, mail supplies. I love this kind of drawing; I remember once I did one, for a drawing class, of the inside of a clothes closet and one of the inside of the refrigerator.
Earlier, before we left for the play, I wanted to get a start on my collage class project. "Your Studio Muse".
My inspiration for life, my mom.
Before bed, I needed to bake these banana crumb muffins because Mark likes to have one for his breakfast before work, for a change. So, where did Sunday go? And now it's Monday again!

wow--busy lady!! I've been thinking about seeing Gypsy. I've never seen it before either, but I keep hearing good things about it.
