The exhibit

Opening reception of the Midwest Collage Society's exhibit, "Reclamation".

The Peabody Estate, built in 1921 as the retirement home for Francis Stuyvesant Peabody, is a beautiful place and it's exciting to be in an exhibit there.

Reclamation:  the process of getting something useful from waste, or getting something back that was previously thought of as waste.  A reclaiming or being reclaimed.

Julie, looking at my piece.

"The Return".  It looks small hanging on the wall, but it's 18"x24".  I had thought that was a good size.

Fun, seeing friends that I haven't seen in a while.

Barb did a beautiful job with the refreshment table.  Pretty!

Raining when we left, but I had to take a few pictures of the beautiful flowers...

and buildings.

Will go back...
The exhibit runs through September 10th.

Our friends, Jan and Linda, were with us, so we went on to dinner at "Antico Posto" in Oak Brook.  First time there and it's a busy and delicious place!

Wonderful crusty bread and olive antipasto.

Brick Oven Roman Style Pizza.  Mushroom Bianca: ricotta, portobellos, porcini pesto, baby arugula, truffle oil.

Shrimp Risotto

Black Pepper Tagliatelle with Sausage, fennel, toasted breadcrumbs.

Yummy!
