Dinner by candlelight on the first night of the retreat. "Let Heaven and Nature Sing!"
Preparing the dough for cinnamon/applesauce ornament cookies.
Here they are ready to go into the oven. Soon they will be strung on our bay leaf garlands.
Trimming the tree in the Fireside Room.
The warm and friendly fire.
The real tree smelled wonderful.
Outside on our night walk, the windows of the retreat room beckon us to come back.
Nature awaits us on our walk to lead us to the meaning of Christmas.
The chapel shows us the way.
All is still.
The animals gather by the tiny manger.
Later in the evening when the cinnamon cookie ornaments are done, we string our garlands and start our twig mirror frames.
Staying up as late as we could.
And the tree trimmed, it was time for bed. Continued.....

Loads for holiday cheer going on what fun you take part in April and thanks for sharing all the wonderful pictures of it all with all the happy people. I'll carry this with me for days.
