Wednesday morning's collage class had us on our way to finishing our "Spring" collages. I have a few more additions to make and still unsure if I will add a quote. I have a few that inspired me.
"Happiness? The color of it must be spring green...." Frances Mayes, American memoirist
"Sweet spring, full of sweet days and roses, A box where sweets compacted lie." George Herbert
"May, that dost inspire / Mirth and youth...Woods and groves are of thy dressing." John Milton
Denise is working on a spring in Paris series.
Planning on using some of her Serendipity squares...
A perfect choice!
Beautiful piece by Carolyn, my new student!
Denise's "April in Paris" coming along.
Sandy's theme to the tune of Georgia O'Keefe. A burst of colors will be complemented with a transfer of one of her flower ink drawings. i can't wait!
Marge's lovely pastels of greens and browns float through this pair she is doing.
Peggy used one of her pen&ink drawings for a background, done in a garden on one of our summer art sessions with Lois last summer, and then adding all these lovely garden surprises and a beautiful quote.
Here's the girls in action! Marge, Sandy and Peggy.
Denise, Carolyn and Sandy.
Then an afternoon of quilting shows us finishing our birdhouse wallhangings.
All working on the same pattern and so interesting how different they all are coming out.
We want to have them done for display at the Poetry Luncheon in May!
