Thanksgiving
We had our Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, on Friday, as that's when we had the girls. Dinner was the best ever. I think it was the Ho'ka turkey! And then look at these fabulous desserts. Angel made this delicious peanut butter/chocolate pie. The chocolate part was like fudge! She also made the blown sugar turkey for the top.
He's so pretty; I hope he last forever!
Gobble gobble...
And Julie made a beautiful banana pudding dessert!
So dinner was good...
Dan and Mark enjoyed some sports together.
Then they all sang with Kassidy's karaoke machine. The girls fixed Julie's hair for the rockin' session. And we played a game called "Rory's Story Cubes". Very fun!
A fun family day and a toast to the "honeymooners".

more of the art show day
Blogger is behaving this morning and allowing me to post more pictures! Maybe it's the Thanksgiving spirit! Is that possible? Anyway...a shot in the Fellowcrafters' Shop. Everything is always so festive and colorful there. Look at all those hats and gloves!
Robin and her marvelous mandalas!
the masks from Artist's Way.
Marge with her creative calligraphy and more!
The wonderful Children's Art...love it! And I always plan to take lots of photos of everything; walked all around with my camera when Julie came, and was so busy talking to everyone and seeing everything...I didn't. Julie took all of these when she had her turn to venture around. Next year...more!
Then, on the way over to the Log Cabins...
where more was happening this year...
Lois with her drawing/painting class exhibited here.
And here are some of the class...happy in Art!

the art show
Well, I was trying to post some pictures but blogger is not letting me. Maybe I have to delete from picassa again; it's been a long time since I have done that. Too many files! tsk-tsk So, here are a couple of them. I don't know what I was telling hubby here; it was really a delightful day! Chilly, but sun was out and it made everything okay.
Here is Denise's quilting display...and we'll see what happens when I try later. :(

Class notes
Everyone busy yesterday, finishing their medieval pieces/books and other unfinished things...one more week, after this one, left to this session before the Christmas holiday.
Denise is working on "Lady of the Lake".
Caught ya!
and her "Outhouse" from last session.
Sandy's "Greek God of Wine".
Karen's "The Queen of Hearts"!
Barb is creating a "fairy" scene.
Busy, busy.
Judy has all her images ready to put into the painted pages of her book of "Guinevere".
Lora Lee's "Bee E Careful". Some of these pieces will be at The Art Show this coming Sunday, so if you stop in, you can see them in person.
Maryann's. (still nameless?)
and Peggy's "Book of Days".

Oh Henri!
Sunday was our little dominos group day. Henri was very excited that company was coming again this week!
Sometimes one of my friends brings him a big bagel bone from The Great American Bagel...
and he knows it's for him...
"Can I have it now?" In a minute, Henri. We have to cut it in a few pieces first, so no tummyaches.

a little family stuff...
A little family get-together. Nice. So, this is for my cousin, Joanne, and her husband Chuck who live in Maryland and who, I know, want to see these faces! Here's Julie pouring the coffee.
Some of the men...my cousin Diana's husband, Jack. Rob. Rich...no frowning!
Here is my cousin, Diana, on the right and her daughter, Dawn.
Diana and Brent.
Dawn and Diana again. Some serious conversation?
Dan, Angel and the girls were here too, but since I don't put pictures of the girls on here yet, I'll have to email those. We had a nice visit and we had leftover wedding food that I had froze, along with some fresh additions! Was good!

Today...
"Your mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street; she's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself. She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well; she's your breath in the air on a cold winter's day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow; she is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you. Not time, not space.....not even death." Unknown
Happy Birthday, Mama
