I love books and bookmarks!

Bookmarks from yesterday's workshop. Here you can see the little corner bookmarks made from mailing envelope corners. A nice way to recycle junk mail or any other envelopes you may receive. You just measure and cut a nice corner off and collage! They hold on to the corner of the page nicely, without slipping. And they are fun to make and decorate accordingly for cookbooks, garden books, nature books, poetry and whatever suits your fancy.

Here we create a "tag" bookmark with an envelope to match. You can see by the one in the center, how the bookmark slips in nicely into it's companion envelope. Nice little gift!

And more "in the making".

Now today is summer art and it's raining! The plan is plein air, so hope it's getting it over with early!

Those bookmarks are pretty... the corners ones are such a good idea! I'm sure everyone must have enjoyed making them at the workshop.
Hope the weather was kind today...
