The International Calligraphy Conference

June 20 - 27, 2009. The 29th International Conference for Lettering Artists at Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.

Hosted by the Colleagues of Calligraphy.

The grounds at Saint John's are serene and full of nature's glory.

Flowers in abundance.

And dragonflies everywhere!

St. Mary's Dorm is the building where Marge and I stayed.

The days were quite warm and we had some rain and thunderstorms, but the blue skies came through and we enjoyed the lovely old buildings and greenery.

Everywhere you looked, there was beauty.

Flowers, flowers and flowers!

Sexton Commons housed our favorite stores for books and art supplies. "John Neal Bookseller" and "Paper & Ink Arts".

A lovely fountain along the walk.

On Saturday, at Saint John's Abbey Church, we had the Blessing of the Tools followed by a Mass.

The beautiful wall inside.

Sunday, after the program "Donald Jackson and the American Artists of The Saint John's Bible" at the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater, we got to view a special exhibit of some of the Bible pages at The Great Hall, pictured here.

We had to do a lot of walking, and when we didn't have to we still took walks to take in all the lovely gardens and buildings on the campus.

Buzz-Buzz!
Buildings filled with ivy.
Lovely old windows.

Lake Sagatagan.

Amen.
More to come! The Bible, the classes, Show and Share, etc.
