Sun! A beautiful day today! And then toward evening, here is the robin boasting his orange breast, sitting on the peak of the roof, melodiously singing his evening song. It is different than his morning and daytime songs. I've heard it called his evening prayer.

fUNNY THING APRIL....I HEARD IT TOO IN MY BACKYARD..EVENING SONG I CALL IT A LULLABY TO THEIR BABIES....MUST HAVE BEEN ALL THAT RAIN....THEY HAD IT ALL STORED UP IN THEM
I didn't know that... we have some robins that sing until midnight, even when it's 'dark', (though with all the street lighting, it's never really dark). I'll listen out now and see if I can hear any difference between the day and evening songs of our English robins. I do love your blog April, always something interesting to read and see...
