Thursday is for drawing and painting

Still looking at all the leaves with galls on them and interesting holes. Started this drawing in pen & ink, adding colored pencil, this morning in class and then finished it when I came home before the leaves changed more.

I brought another leaf home that was just asking to be a watercolor and continued on with a quickie of that.

Loving the colored pencil on top of the ink. Nice touch.
And the watercolor is so floating and dreamy. The shadows underneath exquisite.
I crunched on some leaves at the Center recently. Soon that place will be alive with color.
We as artists have such creative license, isn't it freeing?

Oh just beautiful. I like learning techniques from you. I haven't drawn in quite awhile so perhaps it's time to pick it up.

Is that the actual oak leaf, or is that your watercolor of it?!?! You certainly have captured its spirit.
