Valentine's Day

Yesterday, Julie brought over a pot of homemade Chicken Tortellini Soup and some crusty bread for lunch. Yum! Then we cleared the table and began our valentine flower bouquet project. I read the instructions and gathered the supplies. Julie made the flower templates on cardstock. I have a beautiful colorful children's book "Counting in the Garden" by Kim Parker and it served as our inspiration for the shapes of the flowers.

First Danielle painted the vase and stems. Then we traced the templates onto decorative paper. Danielle cut these out all by herself and then glued them all on. Aunt Julie had helped with the cutting of the two more difficult ones on the far right (see below).

And here is the finished Valentine Flower Bouquet. It was fun and a happy time. Thank you again http://deepspacesparkle.blogspot.com/ for your wonderful projects!
