Oh April, that is fabulous...I just love collage. Your work is a feast for my eyes! But truly April, you are a teacher. Keep showing the process. My junk drawer collage is almost ready for the compacter..hee hee
This piece takes my breath away The building just glows! If you used acrylics, I'm amazed at their transparent effect. And the tiny papers for the bricks, such patience. The doors and windows are just little painted papers too? Did you paint the papers with different values of light and dark for the windows? I keep coming back to look at this. Your diversity of collage subjects is amazing.
The paper for the bricks is an add for chocolate chip cookies. It was just the right brown and had texture too! haha And the windows are all paper, different shades of black and grey. Thanks, ladies!
This piece is GREAT! I can't wait to see it up close and personal. I am really impressed with the cookie bricks over the text grout! Love, love, love the texture it creates. I have a favorite photograph from a recent photo shoot. I don't know if I am comfortable making the sketch, my drawing skills leave lots to be desired, but could I do this working from the original photograph?
AMAZING!!!! I repeat the comment I posted on your other site(check it out!!) I just love your art..and seeing the process of how you do it is so great of you to share. So inspiring. Thanks for posting such wonderful art for all of us to enjoy. I am now a follower and you can be sure I'll be here ALOT!!!!
My love of nature and love of paper have influenced my love of drawing, painting and making things for as long as I can remember. For me, there is excitement in the visual pleasure I get from copying the beauty of nature. The colors. The gentleness. With my artwork, I seek to inspire and enlighten the viewer.

Very cool April. What kind of paper did you use for the bricks? I love the effect of the bricks on the texted paper.
