Today's art

Today was a drawing day.

With inspiration from these critter stickers from Target, Danielle wanted to learn how to make a forest. Here she drew some nice tree trunks with their beautiful bare branches. The package of stickers included a few autumn leaves and so here they are stuck on the branches, just like the ones clinging to our maple in our backyard. Blue sky unfinished.

On to the chalkboard, and who is this dog with all the curly hair? "Henri"!

Thinking of Christmas already, she wanted a coloring page with Santa and his reindeer. Found it! She colored it! And I had to cut it out! Then this scene was created when she glued Santa flying away over this house with lights on the window, the presents delivered, and the Christmas tree.

And even the plug!

oh so cute! Isn't it interesting what details she adds? The plug is quite charming. It grounds the tree and gives it energy--kinda like Grandma does for her, huh? (AND vice versa!)
