Always loved those little abstract landscapes that Laura taught me! After being at her art exhibit this past weekend, I couldn't wait to get out some leftover scraps of coated papers and do one that I haven't done in so long. Still with Starved Rock in my mind, I tried to portray the landscape there and the one lone hawk we saw soaring in the sky. Of course, I did save the pieces that I cut off the edges, to see if I wanted to add something at the bottom, but I think I'll just let it go off into the dirt. Thanks for the inspiration, Laura!

Great little Starved Rock piece! I'm raring to head back that way after those lovely photos! I believe there is a fall art exhibit in the lodge?
