Sign of Fall

Here comes the spiders!
My next-door neighbor called me out into the yard last night. He knows I am always taking pictures of buds and bugs, and knew I would be interested in this one. It was evening and dark out, so I couldn't even see the web until my flash went off. All I saw at first was the spider hanging in the air against what was left of the sunset. The web was so big. It stretched from our shed all the way over to my neighbor's pine tree. That's about ten feet away! This morning, I went out to investigate again, thinking I would be able to identify the spider and it was all gone!

Great late night shot! I cut my bushes way back this summer so I won't be walking through them on my sidewalk each morning!
