Just what the doctor ordered! An evening out with good friends. Audrey invited us over for fun and food and, oh boy, that is what we had! Yummy appetizers and a yummy supper! Recipes to come by request.
Audrey carved this wonderful "gnome home". Isn't it just the cutest thing?
Here's Ruth, smiling at me as I took her picture. I wonder if she is thinking about what to write in her column?
Someone told a joke. I wonder who? ...Keith!
And here is Audrey's carved hummingbird feeder. It's newly hung, so the hummingbirds have not become accustomed to it yet. One did come, but flew by to the other feeder hanging next to it. With this one and the gnome home, it could be a village!
The evening was pleasant. We needed our sweaters, but it was still so nice to sit outside. Audrey has a lovely home and was the perfect hostess.
And the partridge in the pear tree watched the whole thing!

That hummingbird feeder looks stupendous. Almost too pretty for the hummingbirds to drip their sugary nectar on.That must have taken forever to carve. Nice to see partridges too, wow. So much more to woodcarving than just the little wooden people. A talented bunch!
Thanks for sharing your evening with us. Friends are soooo important.
Hey, Ruth looks amazing, by the way.I think the writing life kept her young.
What fun carvings! More things to put on my to do list!
