Henri'

Well, the days go on. I got my hard drive back, fixed, and it's working fine. Soon I will catch up with everyone's blogs! Henri' is being a very good boy. Kind of quiet, unless someone stops by and then he's still his excited self. But he's only (almost) 2. I do think he wonders where Timber is. The vet says "dogs grieve differently than people". I'm trying to figure that out. Anyway, this is his "magic" good boy leash. Started some training a while back here at the house and this is his little training leash. All you have to do is show it to him or drape it over him and he becomes "a good boy".

April, I understand about the grieving in the other animals in the house..well I don't totally understand in the dog scense..our Doris has more on that. but I don't know our Carl grieved and is doing better now..but about the leash thing..the old vet shared when the leash goes on it's a way for them to understand the owner is in charge as long as it's be stated that way from the start..laying the leash over their back like you said is exactly another trick of the trades... good boy our henri is... thanks again for sharing..hugs lady

When Riley died, Timmy had an upset GI tract for a week, slept in Riley's bed and played with Riley's favorite toy, one he never played with before. I think Tim grieved right along with me.

Yes, you can see a difference in the other dog, can't you Laura?

Henri is a good boy, Sue - you are right - he's just a puppy! "V" day will be just fine. Thanks...
Yes, read that book - it's really good. "The Help". At Georgene's on the 13th - next tuesday!

Truly magic, Audrey.

Same here, Mary Beth. Sometimes leaving part of his food in bowl. Still wanting to play ball, but otherwise sometimes just standing looking around like he doesn't know what to do...he looks sad.

It passes but it's hell in the hall way..that's what I was told...sorry for my bluntness but it does pass and still wells up..I have fond memories of our First dog together(randy and I) Ben our little rusty colored cocker... he was my buddy..always my companion... time has her way with us and we have to allow her to do her best...

Dog is God spelled backwards. If animals lived as long as us, we wouldn't bother with human companions. And Henri wants to be good, you can see it in his eyes.
