A gala affair
Our dear neighbors invited us to be guests at a dinner that they had won at a live auction for a "Together We Cope" fundraiser. It was a "Barbecue Tasting"! Each course was so pretty and so delicious! I had to take pictures because Julie loves pictures of food; she is a great cook and always loves to see what someone else is cooking. Above was our first course; Charcuterie.
Grapefruit Sorbet.
Grilled Lamb Chop
Wild and Brown Rice
Gazpacho
Pulled Pork Slider (with a choice of two different sauces)
Roasted Sesame Slaw
Watermelon Salad (sprinkled with bleu cheese and slivered almonds)
Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Herb Butter
Roasted Corn Salad
Turtle Souffle with Warm Carmel Sauce
Mascarpone Whipped Cream and Raspberries
Beverages
Pineapple Margarita
Red or White Sangria
Tacate, Sole, Dos Equis Amber
Dos Equis Lager, Corona
Soft Drinks, Ice Tea
It was a very special evening with very special friends and very special hosts who made us feel very special too.

Did you eat all of this?
Almost Audrey. We saved our appetites all day. We had to take our filet home in a doggy bag and I gave my dessert to a little bitty gal sitting across from me who certainly has a different metabolism that i do.
