the dove family

I can't stop watching these doves!  Here is Mommy and a couple of little heads popping up.

And here comes Daddy to relieve her for a while.  So my two parent doves are safe and sound!  I was worried that one didn't survive the storm, but here he came, faithful as ever...

to take over the feedings.  When I take pictures from my art room, they are a little blurry because I am taking them through a screen.  Sometimes I take my camera with me when I go downstairs to water the garden and then sneak a couple of pictures from there, but I don't want to push my luck and make them stressful.

Just caught up a bit on your recent posts with the dove family. What a treat to be able to watch them! and I learned something new, I never heard of the dove milk before. I'm glad yours are okay. My neighbors have swallow nest boxes on their deck with the parents flying in and out even while the humans have been building a new roof over the deck. the swallows never missed a beat.
