The Christmas Creche Luncheon

The tree in the Great Hall at The Center greeted the guests who came yesterday for the nativity luncheon.  We were there and decided to take Danielle, as I knew she would be surprised to see the animals come into the room.

The story of Christmas was read...

as the Shepherds and the animals from The Farm entered the Great Hall and came into the Lodge.

"Elmer" is the beautiful new donkey and he came in with his best friend...

"Cricket" the pony.  I am told that Elmer needs his friend with him wherever he goes, so Cricket got to be in the nativity scene too!

Very well-behaved goats.  Aren't they sweet?

 A beautiful scene to behold.

Mary and Joseph and the little shepherds watched as the baby Jesus lay in the manger.

Yes, a real baby.  A beautiful one.

The Wise Men came to see.

 Beautiful little faces in awe.

The story of Christmas was read and it was a wonderful afternoon.

The tree is breathtaking with it's pressed Queen Anne's Lace.  500 of them!

Magnificent!

What a neat program for the luncheon. I love the pink and brown quilt too with its soft seams exposed.
